greendrill mit terminal

GreenDrill for catch crop sowing

The GreenDrill seeder unit is Amazone's new solution for the sowing of catch crops and reseeding grass. The GreenDrill can be mounted onto a variety of Amazone soil tillage implements up to 6 m working width such as the Catros compact disc harrow, the Cenius mulch cultivator and the KG rotary cultivator or KE rotary harrow.

The 200 and 500 litre GreenDrill seed hopper is easily reached via its access steps. The seed shaft, that is located within the metering unit underneath the seed hopper, can be equipped with normal or fine seed metering wheels, depending on the seed type and application rates. After metering, the seed is delivered via hoses to a series of baffle plates where it is applied directly in front of, or behind the roller, of the soil tillage implement.  Drive of both the seed shaft and the blower fan via electric motor or hydraulical.

For controlling the unit, Amazone offers two alternatives with differing levels of operational comfort. The GreenDrill, in its basic version, provides the means for switching on the seed metering, powering the blower fan and setting the speed of the seed shaft. In the comfort version, the in-cab terminal also provides a menu to assist the calibration test and includes a display of the forward speed, the worked area and the operating hours.

cirrus-6002 frei start 400

Cirrus large area seed drill

Seed drills with integrated passive soil tillage are used whenever relatively cost effective sowing with high work rates is required. Conventional and, of course, more and more, conservation arable farming systems are included in the operational ranges. With the Cirrus, one has a machine, with which it is possible to achieve precision sowing especially in medium to high yielding areas yet with a relevant higher acreage output.

"Cirrus 6001 is a modern, beautifully crafted seed drill, well suited for an acreage output of certainly possible 5 ha/h", is the beginning of the result of the endurance test carried out by the dlz magazine. Tested was the Cirrus 6001 with RoTec+ Coulters.

citan-6000 003 d1 110210 350

Citan large area seed drill

With the Citan, AMAZONE provides a system that separates soil tillage from the sowing operation. In this way, the Citan, in working widths from 6 m to 15 m makes sure that you can achieve those optimum sowing dates.
Reduced soil compaction and an efficient sowing operation are important considerations in modern, close crop rotations. When carrying out soil tillage as a separate operation, the soil has time to settle ensuring a better seed/soil contact for an improved field emergence. With the 15 m Citan, acreage outputs of up to 15 ha/h are possible.
An additional aspect of winter crop establishment that some practitioners regard as positive: the coulters of the Citan move the minimum of soil so that the stimulation of new weeds (such as blackgrass) is kept to a minimum.
With operational speeds of up to 20 km/h, the Citan large area seed drill impresses with its high acreage outputs and perfect seed placement. The positioning of the seed hopper at the front on the drawbar transfers additional weight onto the tractor’s rear axle, improving traction.
The 3,000 l to 8,000 l seed hopper is easily accessible for filling from big bags, filling auger, front loader or transfer vehicles. The changeover from its compact 3 m transport width out to a 6 m or up to 15 m working width and the subsequent simple set-up in the field is carried out just as quickly.

DMC Primera large area seed drill

The Primera DMC large area seed drill is the result of the uncompromising consideration of demands and desires from farmers themselves.
This versatile large area seed drill with its unique coulter unit is ideally suited, not only for mulch and direct sowing, however, but also for sowing following the plough. The decision for choosing the most ideal establishment system in the future is no longer a question of whether a suitable seed drill is available or not, nor does the intensity of cultivation depend on factors that cannot be influenced, such as the weather. Under favourable conditions, for example, direct sowing can result in a considerable increase in yields. As an option, fertiliser can also be applied simultaneously.
So, the Primera DMC is the machine for flexible arable farming allowing farmers to choose the most suitable production method for the  prevailing conditions.he subsequent simple set-up in the field is carried out just as quickly.
